Connie's Ambient Reading Tape — The Eden Book Society 1993

This is a cassette recording of an improvised musical seance held at Irkwell Manor on an unspecified date and credited to the “Eden Analogue Spirit Orchestra” - a group of like-minded musicians and amateur mystics. It consists of two twenty-minute excerpts from a performance which stretched from sunrise until dawn, using a combination of traditional instruments, hydrogalvanic resonance harps, pneumatic spirit oscillators, electrostatic siphon choirs, submersible echo chambers, copper-pipe resonance arrays, magnetic immersion organs, and analogue synthesisers tuned to the presumed carrier frequencies of post-mortal consciousness.

To date, no other records of the group have been found.

Connie Eden was particularly fond of this recording, and could often be found listening to it while reading submissions for the Eden list.
